Free Font Friday – Bebas Neue

By April 7, 2017Typography

Free Fonts Friday is a series of free fonts posted the first Friday of the month! We’re looking forward to bringing you lots of great fonts that will hopefully inspire and improve your typography work. This week I’ve selected Bebas Neue for you and there’s a handy download link at the bottom. Let us know what you think of it in the comments section and make sure to come back for more next week!

Bebas Neue is a free Sans Serif font created by Ryoichi Tsunekawa. It is a bold and strong font, and has recently grown in popularity, so much so it is now dubbed the ‘Helvetica of free fonts’. Bebas Neue is an all caps font, meaning no lower case version of the alphabet exists.

FontFabric Type Foundry has recently created four new members to the Bebas family: Light, Thin, Book & Regular, aside from the standard version, which is called BOLD in their series.

Bebas Neue is best used for web, print, commerce and art, due to its elegant lines and shapes. It also has a very wide selection of symbols and glyphs available, as well as the Russian alphabet. We use Bebas Neue for most of our infographics due to the wide range of characters available.

BEBAS NEUE is 100% free to use, for commercial and personal purposes. You can download the original Bebas Neue font below.
